Setup
1. Add the bot to your server
Invite Thoth with permission to manage channels, send messages, read history, and use slash commands.
2. Sign in
Go to thothsupport.dev and sign in with Discord. Pick your server from the list.
You need Manage Server on that Discord server.
3. Configure settings
Open Settings and set:
- Staff roles — who counts as support staff
- Ticket types — enable at least one, with a Discord category
- Auto-learn — on if you want the bot to learn from closed tickets (recommended)
Save your changes.
4. Run autoconfig
In Discord:
/thoth autoconfigThis creates the ticket panel and staff channels. Run it again after you change ticket types.
5. Add knowledge
Open Knowledge and add your docs (upload, paste, or URL). Then open Playground and ask a few real questions your users would ask.
6. Test a ticket
Open a ticket as a regular user, ask something from your docs, and confirm the bot replies. Try Request human and /close as staff.
Done? Use the checklist before you announce it to your server.
